Stacye Choate has proudly called Putnam County home since 1994. She and her husband, Michael, raised their three children in the Putnam County School System and are active members of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. A licensed Tennessee attorney since 2000, Stacye brings more than two decades of legal, governance, and healthcare experience through her work with a national hospital system operating in 20 states. She has served on nonprofit governing boards, contributed to Habitat for Humanity’s Women’s Build project, and helped bring the Remote Area Medical Clinic neighboring Overton County, expanding access to critical healthcare services. Stacye decided to run for County Commissioner in August 2025 after recognizing the growing housing affordability crisis in Putnam County and concerns about government transparency. With home prices far outpacing local incomes and poverty rates above the state average, she believes working families are being left behind. She is running to bring renewed energy, transparency, and accountability to District 2 and is committed to representing all residents with integrity and thoughtful leadership .
