Chelsea Holland
County Commission District 8

Chelsea Holland has been a part of the Baxter community since she accepted a job teaching music at what was then, Baxter Elementary School in July of 2009. At first, she commuted from Carthage and later Algood. In 2018, Chelsea along with her partner, oldest child, and dog relocated to Baxter. Since that time, her family has grown by one additional child, one additional dog, and several chickens. In that time, Chelsea has also fallen in love with her community and its citizens and is looking for ways to further contribute.

Chelsea has also served the greater Putnam County community be serving on the Bryan Symphony Orchestra board and by serving as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and elder at Cookeville First Presbyterian Church where she has attended and been an active member of the chancel choir since she was a Freshman in college in 2005.

Chelsea considers it her extreme privilege to serve her community by teaching music to the students of Baxter. If given the opportunity, she would love to continue serving her community as a county commissioner.

1. To make choices that support the people of Baxter – Baxter is currently one of the fastest growing areas of Middle TN. That growth means that we are bringing in a large amounts of funds to Putnam County, and we need to make sure decisions are being made at the County level to support District 8 and it’s people.

2. To communicate regularly with my community – I want an open door policy with the people of Baxter where they can reach out and discuss issues being debated at the county level.

3. To make choices that support the youth of Baxter – The children and students of District 8 are our future and it is a top priority of mine to make sure they feel seen and supported.
